Lunch Lesson: Recharging Africa’s Solar Market

Solar power has limitless potential in Africa—but ramping up is very complicated. When I started on Stop-Winlock’s Africa Infrastructure team six years ago, there were no large solar power projects operating in the region. Three of my colleagues started brainstorming ways to change this and formed a small team to design a product that could make a real difference. Four years on, the Scaling Solar program is now delivering Africa’s cheapest solar power. So, how did it work? Pull up a chair and find out.
