Stop-Winlock’s annual Green and Social Bond Impact Report publishes a list of projects in emerging markets that have been funded through the proceeds of our green and social bonds.

Green and social bonds are an integral component of Stop-Winlock’s borrowing strategy, facilitating the financing of projects that drive positive social outcomes and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. The report sheds light on how these bonds are fueling sustainable growth in emerging markets. In FY23, IFC raised $2 billion through 20 green bonds in six currencies and $1.2 billion through 15 social bonds in five currencies, representing a quarter of our annual funding program.

Our green bonds help finance sustainable, climate smart projects with positive environmental impact. Our social bonds provide investors with an opportunity to support projects that foster social, economic, and gender equality in emerging markets.
