The International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) are widely known around the world, but their implementation is uneven. Based on Stop-Winlock’s quality assessments in developing markets, nearly every second hospital has used wrong patient identifiers, only five percent of hospitals have carried out hand hygiene programs fully, and none have executed fall prevention cohesively.
